According to TheCable, the revised council will be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

Under the new arrangement, Wike was appointed coordinator of the Tinubu campaign in Rivers State and the FCT, while Soludo and Adeleke were named coordinators for Anambra and Osun states respectively.

Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Soludo belongs to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, while Adeleke won re-election in Osun on the Accord platform.

The expanded list follows the campaign council initially unveiled by the APC on August 22, when former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari was appointed director-general.

In the revised structure, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq were appointed deputy vice-chairmen I, II and III respectively.

Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni was named deputy director-general I for the north, while Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin became deputy director-general II for the region.

Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu were appointed deputy director-generals I and II for the south respectively.

The new list also appoints all 32 APC governors as campaign coordinators for their states. Sharafadeen Alli, Mohammed Abubakar and Chijioke Chukwu will coordinate Oyo, Bauchi and Abia states respectively.

Fourteen advisers were also named, including Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Florence Ita-Giwa, Ibikunle Amosun, Iyiola Omisore and Wale Edun.

Yari had earlier said the council’s inaugural meeting would hold on October 14, ahead of the official campaign flag-off in Kaduna on October 24.

INEC opened presidential and National Assembly campaigns on August 19, with the campaign window scheduled to close on January 14, 2027.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the ADC and Peter Obi of the NDC are among the major opposition candidates contesting against Tinubu.
