How Akpabio, Dangote called me to delete posts on Osun election –Davido

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and billionaire Aliko Dangote personally called him during the Osun State governorship election, asking him to delete his social media posts monitoring INEC’s result-uploading process — and that he refused both requests.

Speaking on News Central, as reported by Sahara Reporters, Davido said he became suspicious when INEC’s uploads slowed dramatically after 3,200 of approximately 3,700 polling unit results had been transmitted.

“Uncle Aliko called me too. I said, Uncle, I’m not gonna delete anything until INEC announces,” he said.

Davido also alleged he heard Senate President Akpabio was contacting the collation centre, saying: “That is like my godfather, Akpabio, he was calling me to delete… I said Sir, sorry.”
