I believe God has answered my prayer, says Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu has said he believes God has answered his prayer to continue serving Nigerians, Daily Trust reports.
The President spoke on Monday about his Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. During the visit, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud granted him and his delegation the rare privilege of praying inside the Holy Ka’abah in Makkah.
Tinubu said he asked for wisdom and resilience to keep serving the people.
“I know that prayer has been granted,” he said.
He recalled making a similar prayer during Umrah before the 2023 election, and said he had promised to come back to give thanks.
Tinubu thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the honour, which he described as a historic spiritual experience.
He said his commitment to Nigeria was now stronger and that the economy had come out of a difficult period on a solid foundation.
He also stressed the need to invest in the future of young Nigerians.
