President Bola Tinubu has accused Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi of failing to tackle erosion as governor of Anambra State, The Punch reported.

Tinubu spoke on Friday at an All Progressives Congress rally at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

“In Anambra State, he could not confront erosion. I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, confronted the Atlantic Ocean. I claim it for you. Umo Eno confronted the erosion in Akwa Ibom, and he is working for you,” Tinubu said.

He also questioned Obi’s exit from the Peoples Democratic Party.

“Is that a leadership trait? Is that a leadership character? And he wants you to vote for him? It’s not for a banana. No,” he said.

Tinubu was in the state to inaugurate projects by Governor Umo Eno’s administration as he sought support for his 2027 re-election bid.

Eno pledged that Akwa Ibom would deliver two million votes for Tinubu if the Federal Government delivered the Ibom Deep Seaport.
