I won’t endorse Tinubu for second term — Sultan of Sokoto
The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to disregard claims that he endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 election. In a statement by his media team on Tuesday, the sultan’s office described the rumour as malicious, insisting he would not endorse any candidate. It said his role remained fatherly and spiritual, offering guidance to all politicians without political discrimination or partisan bias.
