Iran-linked hackers claim they breached AT&T systems after company denial
An Iran-linked hacking group has rejected AT&T’s denial of an alleged cyberattack in Texas, claiming the telecommunications company does not know the extent of the systems it allegedly compromised. According to ThreatBeat, the hackers mocked AT&T’s response and insisted that the company’s public statements failed to reflect the scope of their alleged activity.
The group reportedly claimed it had tampered with AT&T infrastructure and challenged the company to identify what had been affected.
The allegations come amid heightened concerns over cyberattacks linked to Iranian threat actors targeting telecommunications and critical infrastructure. However, the claims have not been independently verified, while AT&T has disputed the reported incident.
