Israel halts all Flydubai flights as authorities investigate suspected terror attack

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suspended Flydubai flights to Israel after a Tel Aviv-bound aircraft made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia following a cockpit attack.

According to GB News, Flight FZ1073, carrying 180 people from Dubai, diverted to Tabuk after a pilot allegedly stabbed another pilot and attempted to take control of the aircraft.

Netanyahu said: “The pilot who carried out the stabbing was arrested and is currently being questioned by the Saudi authorities.”

He added: “The plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. All the passengers are now out of danger.”

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz described the incident as a “jihadist terror attack attempt,” while authorities continue investigating the motive.

Flydubai confirmed the aircraft landed safely, saying: “The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority.”

Flight-tracking data showed the aircraft descended sharply before transmitting emergency signals indicating possible unlawful interference. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under official investigation.
