It’s a favourable champions League outcome for Liverpool
Liverpool have been handed a relatively favourable Champions League draw, although the Reds face a challenging trip to Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The fixture will see Inter midfielder Curtis Jones reunited with his former club, while Liverpool return to the San Siro, where they won during last season’s league phase.
Liverpool will also travel to face Belgian champions Club Brugge, Fenerbahce in Istanbul and Austrian Bundesliga winners LASK in Linz.
At Anfield, Andoni Iraola’s side will host Atletico Madrid, Porto, Villarreal and Lens.
While no Champions League draw is straightforward, Liverpool will be encouraged by their schedule as they look to make a strong start in Europe and progress from the league phase.
