Jide Kosoko backs Tinubu, says Nigerians are exaggerating economic hardship
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that Nigeria’s economic hardship is being exaggerated.
According to The Nation, Kosoko made the remarks during an interview with actress Biola Bayo, questioning claims of widespread hunger.
“Things aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. I am hungry; check most of those people. Before Tinubu came, what were they eating?” he asked.
The actor acknowledged Nigeria’s economic challenges but maintained that Tinubu inherited several problems and was working to address them.
“Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying things are rosy; there are too many issues at hand which Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now fixing,” he stated.
Kosoko also urged Nigerians benefiting from government policies, particularly students, to publicly acknowledge the administration’s efforts.
“Many of the beneficiaries of what Tinubu is doing for the students should speak out. Tinubu’s opponents know the truth: the man is on the right track, but ambition has clouded their judgment,” he added.
