Karoline Leavitt to step down as White House Press Secretary

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave the Trump administration at the end of the month to spend more time with her young family, the Associated Press reports.

Leavitt, 28, called it a “bittersweet decision,” saying she could not give her two young children, including a daughter born in May, the attention they deserve while serving in the demanding role.

Trump praised her tenure and said she would remain a top outside adviser ahead of the midterm elections.
