Kevin De Bruyne suspended for Belgium’s final Nations League match
Kevin De Bruyne has been suspended for Belgium’s final Nations League fixture of the international break after collecting his second yellow card of the campaign, according to Football Italia. The Napoli midfielder scored twice in Belgium’s 3-0 victory over Turkey on Friday but was booked during the match.
He will therefore miss Monday’s meeting with France. De Bruyne could potentially return to Napoli early and resume training ahead of their Serie A clash with Frosinone on October 10. However, Belgium coach Mark van Bommel and the Belgian FA have yet to confirm whether the 35-year-old will be released from international duty before the fixture.
