Liverpool Player Ratings: 8/10 Muñoz stands out in frustrating Forest draw

Liverpool were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at Anfield, extending their wait for a first Premier League victory of the season.

Dan Ndoye and Morgan Gibbs-White put Forest ahead twice, but Alexander Isak and substitute Victor Muñoz rescued a point for the hosts. Here is how the Liverpool players performed.

Alisson – 6/10

Produced an excellent stop before half-time to deny Forest a second goal, but conceded the penalty after rushing from his line and failing to reach the ball before Neco Williams.

Jeremie Frimpong – 4/10

Frequently found himself in attacking positions but struggled to make them count. He was also fortunate Forest failed to punish his defensive lapses.

Jeremy Jacquet – 7/10

Liverpool’s most convincing defender. Made two important early blocks to frustrate Igor Jesus and generally looked composed despite the problems around him.

Virgil van Dijk – 5/10

Had a difficult afternoon as Liverpool’s defence repeatedly lost its shape. He failed to prevent the sequence leading to Forest’s opener and was unable to organise the backline for their second.

Milos Kerkez – 5/10

Found Forest’s right side difficult to contain and offered limited influence going forward. He was replaced as Liverpool looked for a change at left-back.

Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

Showed his quality with a clever early pass that released Gakpo. Maintained a tidy presence in midfield and worked hard throughout the contest.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 6/10

Had a relatively subdued display without making any major errors. Moved into the right-back position during the second half.

Florian Wirtz – 7/10

Finished impressively for a goal that was ruled out because of an offside in the build-up. Remained one of Liverpool’s brighter attacking players.

Cody Gakpo – 7/10

Created Liverpool’s equaliser with a superb turn around two defenders before setting up Isak. Looked dangerous despite being deployed on the right.

Alexander Isak – 7/10

Barely featured during the opening period but found the net after the interval. The goal could provide a much-needed confidence boost for the striker.

Victor Muñoz – 8/10

Made the decisive impact off the bench, scoring a spectacular effort into the top corner. Energetic and direct throughout his lively performance.

Kostas Tsimikas – 6/10

Looked assured after replacing Kerkez and offered Liverpool greater stability. His cameo could strengthen his case for more minutes.

Rio Ngumoha – 6/10

Returned to his preferred left side but struggled to influence proceedings significantly during his limited time on the pitch.

Ryan Gravenberch – 6/10

Added greater physicality and energy to Liverpool’s midfield after coming on, helping the hosts regain some control.

Ronald Araújo – 5/10

Could not make much impact after entering the game and was booked shortly afterwards. His long throws failed to create danger.
