Liverpool suffer double injury blow ahead of Manchester City clash
Liverpool have suffered a double injury setback ahead of Sunday’s Premier League showdown against Manchester City, with Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo ruled out. Manager Andoni Iraola confirmed that both forwards sustained injuries during the international break and would not be available for the encounter.
According to the Daily Star, Isak picked up a thigh problem while on international duty with Sweden, while Gakpo suffered an ankle injury during the Netherlands’ match against Serbia. Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Erling Haaland is fit for the trip to Anfield.
