Man United target Lewis Hall returns to Newcastle over minor injury

Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall has returned to Tyneside from the club’s Spanish training camp after sustaining a minor injury, according to The Athletic.

The 21-year-old will train separately at Newcastle’s training centre as he manages the issue. Hall has attracted interest from Manchester United this summer, but Newcastle remain adamant that he is not for sale and consider him an important part of new head coach Matthias Jaissle’s plans.

Hall travelled back alongside Fabian Schär and Lewis Miley, who will also miss Saturday’s friendly against Valencia. He could return against Everton next Wednesday or in Newcastle’s subsequent pre-season fixtures.
