Man Utd consider legal action over JJ Gabriel exit as £300,000 fee emerges
Manchester United are considering legal and regulatory action over the potential departure of teenage academy prospect JJ Gabriel, according to TEAMtalk. The 15-year-old reportedly asked to terminate his contract on September 15 after becoming frustrated over a lack of first-team opportunities.
Gabriel’s current deal expires at the end of the season, while his Irish passport could allow him to join a European club when he turns 16 on Tuesday. United could reportedly receive only around £300,000 in compensation if he leaves, despite viewing him as a future £100m player. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are monitoring the highly rated England youth international.
