Manchester City thrash Crystal Palace 4-1 as Cherki and Haaland shine

Manchester City continued their perfect start under new manager Enzo Maresca with a commanding 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday. According to Sky Sports, Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a powerful header before Rayan Cherki doubled the advantage nine minutes after half-time with an impressive individual effort.

Crystal Palace reduced the deficit through an own goal by Gianluigi Donnarumma following Yeremy Pino’s free-kick, but Cherki quickly restored City’s two-goal cushion with a deflected long-range strike. Haaland sealed the victory with his second goal in the 84th minute.
