Mbappé and Bellingham star As Real Madrid thrash Rayo to go level with Barcelona
Real Madrid moved level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga after a 4-1 demolition of city rivals Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu. Kylian Mbappé struck twice, including a first-half penalty, while Álvaro Carreras and Jude Bellingham also found the net as Los Blancos raced into a three-goal lead inside 35 minutes, according to BBC Sport.
The result marked a strong response to Real’s shock defeat by Real Betis eight days earlier, giving them four wins from their opening five league matches. Sergio Camello pulled one back for Rayo after the break, but Mbappé’s stoppage-time finish sealed a 14th win in Real’s last 15 home meetings with Vallecano.
