Mbappe branded ‘childish’ and ‘pathetic’ over Ballon d’Or comments
Kylian Mbappe has been labelled “childish” and “pathetic” by France 1998 World Cup winner Christophe Dugarry following the Real Madrid forward’s comments about his Ballon d’Or hopes. According to SportBible, Mbappe said he believes he has a chance of winning the prestigious individual award after scoring 42 goals in 44 appearances for Madrid last season.
He also revealed he would vote for himself, arguing that winning the award would not be undeserved. Dugarry criticised the forward for publicly discussing an individual prize, urging him instead to focus on team achievements and collective success. Mbappe remains among the leading contenders.
