The paper brands the move a “shameful waste of money” during the cost of living crisis.

The Sunday Times splashes on the news that a fresh wave of NHS strikes are set to take place.

Operations are due to be cancelled across the country as junior doctors walk out for four days from 11 April, the paper reports.

The Observer

Some of the most vulnerable children in the UK are being moved to care homes more than 300 miles away from where they grew up, according to the Observer.

The paper brands the issue a “national scandal” saying dozens of children from London had been placed in homes as far away as Glasgow and Carlisle.

Sunday Mirror

The Sunday Mirror splashes on the news that Paul O’Grady told friends he wanted them to “have a laugh” at his funeral before he died.

The paper quotes a friend of the TV star saying “he’d hate it if everyone was morose”.

The Sunday Telegraph

Workers may be able to sue their bosses if they are “offended” by customers, reports the Sunday Telegraph.

Under the new rules, the paper claims, bar staff could sue landlords if they overhear “offensive” pub chat and nurses could sue the NHS if they are insulted by a patient.

Sunday Express

According to the Sunday Express, the prime minister has half a year to get a handle on boats crossing the Channel, or he faces a “wipe out” at the next election.

The paper says senior aides to Rishi Sunak have warned the PM that another summer of illegal migrant crossings could spell electoral disaster for the Tory party.

Daily Star Sunday

The Daily Star Sunday leads on the news that Easter is set to be blessed with fine weather.

It reports we could see temperatures as high as 24C in contrast to this past week’s wet weather, which the paper described as “floody awful”.
