Moove exits Nigeria, gives customers full ownership of vehicles
Global mobility company Moove has announced the closure of its Nigerian operations, six years after launching in Lagos, with plans to transfer vehicles worth approximately ₦35 billion to eligible customers.
According to TheCable, the company disclosed the decision on Thursday, October 8, 2026, marking the end of its operations in the country where it was founded.
Moove said eligible existing customers would receive full ownership of their vehicles without making any additional payments to the company.
The arrangement takes effect from October 1, 2026, meaning beneficiaries will no longer owe Moove further payments for the vehicles transferred to them.
The development represents a significant shift for the mobility financing company, which began operations in Nigeria in 2020 before expanding internationally.
The company has not disclosed the number of vehicles involved or provided detailed reasons for its decision to exit the Nigerian market.
Further information about the closure and ownership transfer arrangements is expected from the company.
