Mullin says ‘multiple warrants’ served in Omar probe as Obama defends her
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has said multiple warrants were served on the same day as the raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, DC, home, the Daily Mail reported. Mullin spoke on the Charlie Kirk Show on Friday.
“All I can say is one, yes we served a warrant, I can’t say that it was on a specific person or not but she wasn’t or it wasn’t the only place we served a warrant there was multiple other warrants served on that same day,” he said. Mullin added: “We had a judge sign it, and we expect to be able to take the case to a grand jury.” Omar has yet to be charged with any crime.
Former President Barack Obama defended Omar on Sunday, writing on X: “It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say.” Omar has denounced the investigation as politically motivated.
