Murray-Bruce to Tinubu: Sack ‘clowns’, hire ‘mad men’ to fix refineries

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has urged President Bola Tinubu to sack underperforming officials and appoint what he described as “mad men” capable of confronting entrenched interests and delivering results.

In a statement on Tuesday, Murray-Bruce said Nigeria needed bold officials to revive the Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refineries and increase crude oil production towards four million barrels per day.

According to Murray-Bruce’s statement,as reported by Sahara Reporters, he cited CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso and NSA Nuhu Ribadu as examples of officials showing the required resolve.

He urged Tinubu to prioritise commercially viable refinery operations, attract private investment and remove officials unwilling or unable to deliver results.
