Musiala returns in style as Bayern Munich crush Bodo-Glimt 5-0 in UCL
According to France 24, Jamal Musiala made a memorable return to Bayern Munich’s starting XI by scoring in their emphatic 5-0 Champions League victory over Bodo-Glimt on Thursday. The Germany international had missed Bayern’s previous two matches after revealing that he was dealing with a neurological condition following collapses during pre-season friendlies.
Musiala broke the deadlock early in the second half, reacting quickest to a blocked Harry Kane effort before firing into the far corner. Kane then doubled Bayern’s advantage with a header from Michael Olise’s free-kick, extending his Champions League scoring streak to eight consecutive matches.
Alphonso Davies added a powerful long-range strike before Olise scored twice in the closing stages to complete the rout. The result also extended Bayern’s remarkable record to 24 consecutive victories in their opening Champions League matches, dating back to 2002.
