Mystery object spotted hovering over Tehran

Videos purportedly showing an illuminated object moving through Tehran’s night sky have spread widely on social media, sparking speculation it may be a drone, aircraft, or other airborne object.

According to a report by WION, neither the location nor the identity of the object has been independently verified, with several X accounts circulating the footage on September 20.

The sightings emerged close to the 50th anniversary of a documented 1976 Tehran aerial incident, though no evidence links the two events, leaving the latest footage an unresolved claim.
