Netflix has secured exclusive broadcasting rights to the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra, with the streaming giant set to carry all 104 matches of the tournament. According to Variety, the agreement with FIFA covers the centenary edition of the competition, which Spain will co-host with Morocco and Portugal.

Under the deal, one match per matchday will be available free-to-air in Spain, while a separate television broadcaster will show every Spain match, both semi-finals and the final. Netflix has yet to announce its free-to-air broadcasting partner, and financial details remain undisclosed.

The platform also plans pre-match, half-time and post-match programmes, daily highlights and additional content ahead of the tournament. “Few events unite people like the World Cup,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria. FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström added: “Our shared ambition is to bring fans closer to the game and enable as many people as possible to share in the excitement of the competition.”

The tournament is scheduled to begin on June 13 or 14, 2030, with the final slated for July 21. Centenary matches will also take place in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
