Newcastle keep tabs on Man United target Baleba despite injury

Newcastle United have added Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba to their transfer shortlist, according to the Tribuna. Manager Matthias Jaissle is reportedly an admirer of the Cameroon international, who has previously attracted interest from Manchester United.

Newcastle are considering midfield options as they assess potential replacements for Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali. However, there is currently no active deal for Baleba, who is sidelined with an injury. The 22-year-old has emerged as a potential target, but Newcastle are unlikely to make significant progress until he returns to full fitness.
