NFF fires Super Falcons technical crew

The Nigeria Football Federation has directed the Super Falcons’ technical crew, led by Head Coach Justin Madugu, to step down with immediate effect.

According to Punch Newspapers, the NFF Executive Committee announced the decision on Monday without stating a reason, though it follows a difficult WAFCON campaign that saw Nigeria lose to Cameroon in the quarter-finals and subsequently fall to South Africa in a World Cup playoff.

The results denied the Super Falcons automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, mirroring the Super Eagles’ earlier failure to qualify for the men’s tournament.
