Ogogo’s daughter did not welcome baby, family clarifies

The family of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, has denied viral reports and a video claiming his daughter, Shakirat “Kira” Taiwo, recently gave birth to a baby boy, according to Vanguard.

Another daughter, Haleemah “Lima” Taiwo, issued the clarification via Instagram on Wednesday, calling the claim false and urging the public to stop spreading unverified information while the family mourns.

The video had described the alleged newborn as “My Daddy’s Carbon Copy,” claiming birth days after Ogogo’s burial. Ogogo died on August 23, 2026, aged 66, after battling stage-four cancer, and was buried in Ilaro, Ogun State.
