OGPF: NNPC deflecting from allegations Ojulari awarded oil blocks to wife, allies
The OGPF has rejected NNPCL’s response to claims that Ojulari’s wife and cronies secured favourable marginal field awards through insider influence, describing the corporation’s statement as “misleading, diversionary, and largely unresponsive,” Peoples Gazette reports.
The forum, led by convener Ayodele Momoh, maintained that a wife of Ojulari played a major role in bid evaluation, while at least two beneficiaries are close allies of the GCEO. It dismissed NNPC’s production performance claims as a distraction, noting output growth of just 6% oil and 5% gas fell short of targets.
OGPF also alleged the corporation’s approach preserves patronage networks favouring politically exposed persons.
