Ondo governor appoints commissioner, three advisers, 1,000 political aides

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved one commissioner, three special advisers and 1,000 political aides to strengthen governance, according to Punch Newspapers. Chief Press Secretary Ebenezer Adeniyan confirmed the appointments on X Thursday, comprising 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants.

Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba was nominated Commissioner for Special Duties, pending screening by the state assembly. The three Special Advisers cover Environment, Rural and Community Development, and Transport portfolios. Senior Special Assistants were named across areas including women mobilisation, forestry, community engagement, and youth empowerment. The government said a full list would follow later, with appointments taking immediate effect.
