Only this team can stop Arsenal winning the Premier League

Former England midfielder Danny Murphy has backed Arsenal to retain their Premier League title, identifying Manchester City as their biggest threat this season. Speaking to Metro, Murphy said he “can’t look past” Mikel Arteta’s side after their impressive transfer window and Community Shield victory over City.

Arsenal have strengthened with Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis and are closing in on defender Ezri Konsa. Murphy believes the Gunners’ continuity, confidence and familiarity with Arteta’s methods give them an advantage. He expects City to provide the strongest challenge, while predicting Liverpool and Manchester United to complete his top four.
