Senator Francis Fadahunsi was questioned for nearly two hours by the Osun State Police Command on Tuesday over comments allegedly inciting violence ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, according to Vanguard News.

Governor Ademola Adeleke had demanded Fadahunsi’s arrest after a viral video showed him allegedly saying “kill any Accord member” during a protest following the killing of 12 APC members in Ilesa. Fadahunsi denied the accusation, claiming he was misquoted and had actually urged APC supporters to defeat the Accord Party “with their votes.” He was released without charge after the questioning.
