Osun poll: Salaam evacuated as chaos erupts at Ejigbo unit
ADC governorship candidate Najeem Salaam was whisked away by security operatives after violence erupted at his polling unit in Ejigbo, Osun State, according to Vanguard.
The disturbance at Unit 003, Iroyin Ayo Open Space, occurred shortly after Salaam and his wife voted, forcing INEC officials, observers and voters to flee. DSS and NSCDC personnel who arrived to restore order later left as tension persisted.
Voting remained suspended as of the time of filing, with frustrated voters like Adewale lamenting their inability to cast ballots amid the chaos.
