Pentagon’s sixth UFO file batch reveals decades-old “flying saucer” sightings

The Pentagon has released its sixth batch of UFO files, showing clusters of alleged spacecraft filmed by the military over several decades, the Daily Mail reports.

The latest tranche, made public Friday, centers on a famous 1952 sighting by Navy photographer Newhouse in Tremonton, Utah, showing ten to 14 bright objects in a clear sky.

Newhouse, who was on vacation with his family, described them as looking like two discs stacked together, forming the classic “flying saucer” shape, with a shiny metallic color as they moved in a loose circle heading west.

The US Air Force’s old investigation office, Project Blue Book, studied the film for months but was never able to fully explain it.

More than 70 years later, the files further reveal that military aircraft over the Middle East in 2025 captured another cluster of glowing orbs traveling past an oil rig in a tight formation before splitting apart.

Also included were declassified records detailing the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, a Defense Intelligence Agency initiative that ran from 2008 to 2012 and spent tens of millions of dollars researching warp drive, cloaking devices and laser weapons, with contracts awarded to Robert Bigelow’s Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies.

In total, 71 files were released as part of President Trump’s February order for full UFO disclosure, though researchers say the drip-feed of documents has yet to produce definitive proof.

“We are getting more and more proof that we are not alone,” filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee said, adding that more revelations — potentially including physical evidence — are expected to surface by 2027, keeping public anticipation firmly alive.
