Pete Edochie opens up on health struggles, says walking is now difficult

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has disclosed that he is currently finding it difficult to walk and has been experiencing swelling in different parts of his body, Vanguard reports.

He made the disclosure while visiting ailing Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra on Thursday, where he was also launching the Pete Edochie Legacy Project, an initiative celebrating his contributions to African cinema. “Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover. Sometimes I wake up and parts of my body have swollen up,” he said, adding that his hand had also been affected.

Despite the challenges, Edochie said he remained hopeful, telling well-wishers he relied on God for strength and prayed not to become a burden to those around him. He also expressed optimism that Armah would recover from his own prolonged health struggles.

The visit has stirred concern among fans online, with many sending prayers and well-wishes to the veteran actor.
