Peter Obi: Tinubu owes Nigerians answers on alleged drug trafficking past

Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, has questioned why President Bola Tinubu is seeking to withhold records concerning his past from a foreign court, Daily Post reports.

In a statement on Monday, Obi said Nigerians deserve answers on matters of public interest, describing it as “profoundly embarrassing” that a sitting president would ask a foreign court to shield such records.

He questioned why issues around Tinubu’s primary and secondary education remain unresolved, insisting the presidency should exemplify “integrity, accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership,” and that the Republic’s interest must override any individual’s.
