Pitso Mosimane reappointed as South Africa Head Coach
Pitso Mosimane has been reappointed as head coach of South Africa’s men’s national team, returning to the Bafana Bafana dugout more than 14 years after his first spell ended. The 62-year-old replaces Hugo Broos, whose contract expired in July after five years in charge.
Mosimane previously managed South Africa from July 2010 to June 2012, before building an impressive club career with Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly. He won the African Champions League three times and has since managed in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Iran. The appointment was approved by SAFA’s executive committee on 8 August and confirmed Tuesday. Source: BBC Sport
