Police: Davido was target of Osogbo convoy attack, one killed

Police have confirmed that Afrobeats star Davido, nephew of Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, was the target of Wednesday’s gun attack at the Ataoja of Osogbo’s palace.

According to Daily Trust, police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi said a suspected Eye Confraternity member, Adebayo Taoreed, alias “Small Rugged,” tried to access Davido but was resisted, sparking a confrontation that blocked the governor’s convoy. A 60-year-old man, Tajudeen Yusuf, was later shot dead by the fleeing suspects at Itaolokan. Police said investigations have commenced to apprehend those responsible.
