Police summon Senator Fadahunsi over viral ‘kill Accord members’ threat ahead of Osun election
Osun State Police Command has summoned Senator Francis Fadahunsi of Osun East Senatorial District to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo over a viral video in which he allegedly directed APC supporters to “kill” Accord Party members found in Ilesa ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
In a letter dated August 11, 2026 and signed by Elections Commissioner of Police Samuel Etaifo Erale, as reported by Daily Post, Fadahunsi was directed to appear at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 12.
The police described his alleged remarks as “threatening, inciting, and intimidating in nature,” noting the statement had already circulated widely across social media platforms. The summons comes amid heightened political tension in Osun as all parties intensify final campaigns ahead of the August 15 poll.
