Polish Footballer Oskar Kordus dies after Deer crashes through car windscreen

Polish footballer Oskar Kordus has died at the age of 20 after a freak road accident in which a deer crashed through his car windscreen. The Kania Gostyn defender was driving along the Gostyn bypass early on Monday when a roe deer, struck by another vehicle, was thrown into the path of his BMW. The impact reportedly caused Kordus to lose control before the car left the road and rolled into a ditch.

According to Daily Star, Emergency crews revived him at the scene before he was airlifted to a hospital in Poznan, but he later died from his injuries. Kordus had joined fourth-tier side Kania Gostyn this season and made seven league appearances. His former club Korona Piaski and Kania Gostyn both paid tribute to the young defender following his death.
