Prophet El-Buba endorses SDP candidate Adebayo, seeks new political direction for Nigeria

Christian cleric and political mobiliser Prophet Isa El-Buba has endorsed the presidential ambition of Social Democratic Party candidate Prince Adewole Adebayo, saying Nigeria needs a new political direction, according to The Guardian Nigeria.

Speaking at the launch of Adebayo’s presidential blueprint, El-Buba said his support followed a thorough study of the candidate’s policy document, describing it as a credible pathway to rebuilding the country. He praised Adebayo’s running mate, Professor Abduljalil Tafawa Balewa Bugaje, and pledged to mobilise his network, starting with Kano and North-Central states.

El-Buba expressed optimism the SDP could mobilise at least 15 million Nigerians behind the ticket before November, urging supporters to prioritise national interest over personal gain ahead of the 2027 election.
