Pulisic and Cisse strike to earn AC Milan hard-fought 2-1 win over Genoa
AC Milan secured a vital 2-1 victory against an in-form Genoa side at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday afternoon, according to SempreMilan.
Ruben Amorim’s team established control during a dominant first-half display, opening the scoring in the 13th minute when Alphadjo Cisse finished off an Adrien Rabiot cut-back after Christian Pulisic pressed high to win possession.
The Rossoneri doubled their advantage six minutes later as Gonçalo Ramos intercepted an error from Genoa’s Leo Ostigard before squaring for Pulisic to fire inside the near post.
Genoa had a goal ruled out for offside before half-time but continued to press after the break.
The hosts pulled one back in the 88th minute through a long-range strike from Mikael Egill Ellertsson following an uncleared free-kick, but Milan managed to withstand late pressure to secure all three points and move into the top four ahead of the international break.
