Raúl Asencio fined €14,400 ahead of sexual video trial

Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio has been fined €14,400 and banned from driving for eight months after being convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol in Gran Canaria. According to La Voz de Lanzarote, the 23-year-old admitted the offence during a fast-track hearing on August 19 and accepted the prosecutor’s requested sentence. The ruling comes just 24 hours before Asencio is due in court over a separate case involving the sharing of a sexual video in 2023. Asencio has apologised to the two women involved and compensated them, while the case against the other defendants continues.
