Real reason we keep low profile as Dangote’s children – Daughter

The three daughters of Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote — Halima, Mariya and Fatima — have explained their deliberate choice to maintain low public profiles despite their prominent family background, saying they prefer to let professional results speak rather than trading on their famous surname.

According to Tribune, Halima Dangote made the disclosure in a resurfaced Bloomberg Next Africa interview filmed at the family’s Lagos home and published in August 2026.

“Any time we meet with our co-peers, we don’t say who we are. It was easier when we were not recognised; our results speak for themselves,” Halima said.

She added that none of the three sisters were interested in using social media to showcase wealth or possessions. “We are not expressive of what we have or what we own or what we’re doing,” she said.

“The sale of this business, the profit of this, the EBITDA, our growth, growing to $100 billion — numbers don’t lie,” Halima added.
