REPORT: Grandma euthanized against her will in Canada…

An 83-year-old woman was medically assisted to die despite allegedly showing confusion and expressing regret about the procedure, her granddaughter has claimed.

According to the Daily Mail, Brigitte Stegemann, who had stage four stomach cancer, died at an Ontario care home on July 10 after being approved for Medical Assistance in Dying, known as MAiD.

Her granddaughter, Brigitte Kranendonk, alleges Stegemann failed cognitive questions, cried after being told she would die and said she had made a mistake.

Kranendonk also claims her grandmother did not explicitly consent before the procedure and has sought answers from authorities.

Belleville Police confirmed the death remains under investigation by its Criminal Investigations Division. The care home and practitioners have not responded to the allegations.
