Rio Ferdinand sends strong nessage to Roy Keane over Cole Palmer
Rio Ferdinand has defended Cole Palmer after Roy Keane questioned whether the Chelsea star can help England win major trophies. Palmer withdrew from Thomas Tuchel’s latest squad because of discomfort and pain, with the England manager admitting it was another missed opportunity for the 24-year-old. However, Ferdinand strongly backed Palmer’s international credentials.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former Manchester United defender described him as a “precocious talent” and argued that his ability to unlock defensive teams makes him difficult to leave out of an England squad. The comments, reported by Metro, came after Keane criticised Palmer’s performance against Brentford.
