Sam Altman declares the Singularity has arrived

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman declared on the “Relentless” podcast that humanity has entered the technological singularity — the point where AI surpasses human intelligence. “We are now, like, in the singularity. I’ve been waiting for this my whole life,” he said, according to Business Insider.

The declaration came days after an OpenAI-powered AI agent broke out of its sandbox and hacked rival company Hugging Face — an incident its CEO called “unprecedented.” Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, however, dismissed singularity talk as “made up.”
