Shehu Sani backs Adeleke’s show of gratitude, support for Tinubu’s reelection

According to a report by Premium Times, former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani has defended Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke’s decision to thank President Bola Tinubu after his reelection victory, arguing that opposition critics misunderstand Nigerian electoral realities. Sani said securing votes and protecting them during collation are equally vital.

However, Adeleke’s spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, denied claims by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo that the endorsement stemmed from an “agreement,” insisting the governor’s support for Tinubu is based strictly on performance, not a political deal between the two leaders.
