Six months after rape hoax, Mirabel returns to social media

TikToker Nsikak Abigail, popularly known as Mirabel, has announced her return to social media after leaving a rehabilitation programme in Ogun State, months after admitting to fabricating a rape allegation against an unidentified attacker.

According to PUNCH, she posted on TikTok on Saturday, writing, “I survived, so I’m awaiting your hate comments,” and “Out of therapy but not healed.”

She was placed under the Ogun Ministry of Women Affairs’ care in February after authorities established the allegation was false, opting for rehabilitation over prosecution.
