Sowore claims Tinubu ‘receiving treatment’ in France, not on vacation…skipping UN over fear of US arrest

Human rights activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is receiving medical treatment in France rather than being on vacation, Sahara Reporters reported. Sowore made the claim on X on Sunday, reacting to Tinubu’s absence from the 81st United Nations General Assembly.

The Presidency has described the trip as a three-week annual leave and working vacation. It announced Sunday that Vice President Kashim Shettima would represent Tinubu and lead Nigeria’s delegation in New York.

Sowore also alleged that Tinubu fears arrest by the United States. SaharaReporters said the Presidency had not responded to his claims.
